Dr. Ronaldo P. Parreno Jr. is a highly
educated and experienced chemical
engineer, with a specialization in
fuel cell and hydrogen technologies.
He obtained his PhD in Chemical
Engineering from De La Salle
University in 2020, after completing
his MS in Energy Engineering from the
University of the Philippines, Diliman
in 2006 and his BS in Chemical
Engineering from the University of
Santo Tomas in 1996. Dr. Parreno has a
strong passion for research and has
been involved in various research
projects throughout his career. He has
also published several papers in
reputable journals and has presented
his research in international
conferences. Currently, he serves as a
Senior Science Research Specialist at
the Industrial Technology Development
Institute, a government research
institute in the Philippines. Prior to
this, he has held various positions in
the government and private sector,
including Science Research Specialist
II at the Department of Energy and
Research Engineer at PHINMA Group.
Aside from his research work, Dr.
Parreno also has experience in
teaching, having served as a college
lecturer at City College of Lucena. He
is also a member of the Royal Society
of Chemistry, further highlighting his
expertise in the field of chemical
engineering. In 2022, Dr. Parreno
furthered his knowledge by completing
online CPD courses on fuel cell and
hydrogen technologies in the Centre
for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Research at
the University of Birmingham. With his
extensive education and experience,
Dr. Parreno is a highly respected and
sought-after expert in the field of
chemical engineering, material science
and energy.
