About
My skillset includes the construction and maintenance of ultra-high vacuum (UHV) instrumentation, physical vapor transport (PVT) growth of single-crystal organic semiconductors, polymer and organic thin-film formation, and organic photovoltaic and FET device fabrication and characterization. I have experience in the sample preparation, instrument operation and data analysis necessary for the following techniques: atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), secondary ion mass spectroscopy (SIMS), ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS), and medium and high energy ion spectroscopies (MEIS and RBS). scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), infrared (IR) spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). I have a working knowledge of the following techniques: inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES), He ion microscopy (HIM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), mass spectroscopy (MS; TOF, MALDI, etc.), contact angle measurements, and other common analytical techniques. I have edited over 1000 scientific articles intended for publication in peer-reviewed journals focusing on chemistry, physics, materials science, biomaterials, environmental science, and related engineering fields.
