Dr. Everson A Nunes is a highly accomplished researcher and educator in the field of physiological sciences. He received his Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a focus on Physiological Sciences from Universidade Federal do Paraná in 2009, after completing a BSc in Human Nutrition and an MSc in Physiological Sciences. He also holds a specialization in Exercise Physiology and a BSc in Biological Sciences from Universidade Federal do Paraná. Dr. Nunes has a strong background in research, having completed two post-doctoral fellowships at McMaster University and Universidade Federal do Paraná. He has also held positions as an associate professor and assistant professor at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, and his research focuses on the effects of exercise and nutrition on physiological processes in the human body. In addition to his research, Dr. Nunes is also a dedicated educator. He has taught at various universities in Brazil, including Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Universidade Gama Filho, Faculdades Integradas Espírita, Pontificia Universidade Católica do Paraná, and Faculdade do Litoral Sul. Graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters of Science in Planning, currently working as a housing researcher with the School of Cities, a urban research hub based at the University of Toronto.

My professional mission is to help make athletes' skill development more effective and more sustainable long-term. More 'effective' means understanding how athletes learn and how to promote those processes in practice. More 'sustainable' means understanding the psychology of keeping athletes healthy, happy, and hungry to keep training in the long run. My previous research has examined topics of recovery and expertise, self-regulated learning, and talent development. I am currently a SSHRC-funded Postdoctoral Fellow at Queen's University studying the personal, social, and environmental factors that influence athlete and performance development. My main project explores what 'rest' means for youth athletes and how a better understanding of the spaces in-between practice can improve long-term athlete development. I also support projects exploring how coaching and team dynamics influence positive sport experiences for youth athletes.

Dr. Fatemah Aleithan is a highly accomplished scientist with a strong background in immunology and vaccine virology. She is a PhD candidate in Medical Sciences from McMaster University, where her research focused on developing novel vaccine strategies to combat viral infections. During her doctoral studies, she published several articles in reputable scientific journals. Dr. Aleithan's expertise lies in studying the interactions between viruses and the immune system, with the goal of developing effective and safe vaccines. She is passionate about using her knowledge and skills to contribute to the advancement of global health.
