As a contracted educator, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the K12 and college classrooms. My main instruction is in the field of science and psychology (IB) . I also have experience as an enrichment teacher, summer camp teacher and an elite private tutor. I am experienced in all subjects such as general education, animal courses/zoology, art, forensics, grammar/English and test prep. I am also certified in TEFL (180 hours) and have experience teaching as an ESL Instructor. I own a small business and guide as a health, wellness and life coach outside of my normal courses. I am a published author and offer many writing courses. I wear many hats but all surrounding my passion for sharing knowledge and teaching students. Master's degree in Biological Science and an emphasis on teaching - Nuffic evaluation states - I have reached a level that in Dutch terms. corresponds to that of a master's degree in scientific education (wo) in biology with a focus on teaching the subject of biology in higher education. This coupled with a Bachelor degree in Psychology, I am uniquely equipped to engage students in interdisciplinary learning experiences that bridge the gap between the sciences and human behaviour. My commitment to academic excellence extends beyond the confines of traditional instruction, as I strive to cultivate a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically, question assumptions, and explore the complexities of the human mind and behaviour. Leveraging my expertise in content development and instructional design, I craft a curriculum that is both rigorous and accessible, catering to diverse learning styles and fostering intellectual curiosity. As an academic, I am dedicated to fostering a collaborative and supportive learning community where students feel empowered to challenge themselves, take intellectual risks, and pursue their academic and professional aspirations with confidence. I believe in the transformative power of education to unlock potential, broaden perspectives, and inspire lifelong learning, and I am deeply committed to empowering students to realize their full potential and become informed, engaged citizens of the world.
