About
I have a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering with proven experience in product and process design, scientific research, and higher education. I am a problem solver and team leader with excellent analytical, communication, and technical skills. As an accomplished researcher with a detail-oriented, results-driven approach to scientific discovery, I have a prolific publication record and am a recognized expert of biomechanics and mechanical testing. In my main work as a professor of engineering, I mentor students and serve as Principal Investigator in a National Science Foundation S-STEM grant. A student group I mentored was a finalist in the Community College Innovation Challenge. This role has afforded me the opportunity to explore research and entrepreneurial interests, including starting my own biomedical devices company.
