He completed his Ph.D. in 2001 from Indian Institute of Science Bangalore and has since held various positions in prestigious institutions such as University of Oxford, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, and Purdue University. He has also been a visiting professor at universities in the USA.
