Dr. Justin P. Whalley was educated in the UK (M.Sci. Mathematics, University of Bristol) and France (Ph.D. Bioinformatics, University of Évry). He moved to Spain to work as a postdoc at the National Center for Genomic Analysis (CNAG). During his time there, he ran the Quality Control working group for the Pan-Cancer Analysis of Whole Genomes project to assess the data coming in and reduce batch effects. This involved collaboration with researchers from the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, the German Cancer Research Center and the Wellcome Sanger Institute in the UK. He returned to the UK to work as a [Senior Bioinformatician at the University of Oxford](https://www.well.ox.ac.uk/people/jpw/). His time there coincided with the global pandemic and he was deeply involved in the COvid-19 Multi-omics Blood ATlas (COMBAT) consortium as the lead for the Integration (Tensor) working group. Yesim Gulecyuz, M.D., is an experience, practicing obstetrician and gynecologist whose clinical and academic career bridges medicine and technology. She earned her B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1986, followed by her M.D. in OBGYN from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 1990. Dr. Gulecyuz has contributed significantly to medical education and patient care, having served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago and practiced as a physician across prominent healthcare institutions including Southwest OBGYN, Advocate Medical Group, and the Women's Health Center. She deals with a broad spectrum of ambulatory gynecology, with a specialty in menopause, abnormal uterine bleeding, cervical pathology, hormonal therapy and contraception, along with an extensive career in Obstetrical and Gynecological surgeries. With a strong focus on women's health across the reproductive and menopausal years, Dr. Gulecyuz is able to bring insights and direct experience with hormone/endocrine evaluation, ultrasound interpretation, office procedures (IUD insertions, removals, biopsies), and pre/post op gynecologic care.

I am an experienced writer and researcher with both casual and scholarly publications. As a registered dietitian and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, my focus areas are based in nutrition, health and wellness, breastfeeding, and women's health.
