Dr. Everson A Nunes is a highly accomplished researcher and educator in the field of physiological sciences. He received his Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a focus on Physiological Sciences from Universidade Federal do Paraná in 2009, after completing a BSc in Human Nutrition and an MSc in Physiological Sciences. He also holds a specialization in Exercise Physiology and a BSc in Biological Sciences from Universidade Federal do Paraná. Dr. Nunes has a strong background in research, having completed two post-doctoral fellowships at McMaster University and Universidade Federal do Paraná. He has also held positions as an associate professor and assistant professor at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, and his research focuses on the effects of exercise and nutrition on physiological processes in the human body. In addition to his research, Dr. Nunes is also a dedicated educator. He has taught at various universities in Brazil, including Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Universidade Gama Filho, Faculdades Integradas Espírita, Pontificia Universidade Católica do Paraná, and Faculdade do Litoral Sul. Dr. Carla Portugal is a highly educated and experienced environmental scientist with a passion for research and teaching. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences and a Minor in Teaching from the Federal University of Uberlândia in Brazil in 2004. After completing her undergraduate studies, she pursued a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, also in Brazil, graduating in 2013. Dr. Portugal's passion for environmental science and research led her to pursue a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Oregon State University. She successfully completed her doctoral studies in 2021, and during this time, she also gained valuable experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. In addition to her academic pursuits, Dr. Portugal has also started to work as a Research and Science Lead & Mentor at the Consultant Training Program at Dr. Elaine's Soil Food Web School. In this role, she is responsible for mentoring and training consultants in the field of soil biology and ecology. Dr. Portugal's expertise in environmental science and her dedication to teaching and mentoring make her a valuable asset to any organization. She is committed to using her knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on the environment and inspire the next generation of environmental scientists.
