Dr. Alex Bliss is an experienced researcher, consultant, lecturer, and coach. Alex is accredited as a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences and through the United Kingdom Strength and Conditioning Association. Alex has a broad range of research interests, but principally researches golf science, particularly physical training for golfers. He also conducts research into performance modelling, coach/athlete relationships and physical profiling. He is Editor-in-Chief at the International Journal of Golf Science and board member for the European Tour and Ladies European Tour Research and Scientific Committee. Away from golf, Alex also supervises projects and publishes research in the areas of youth sport, growth and maturation, bio-banding and relative age. He has experience too of physical demand research with the England and Wales Cricket Board has supervised over 15 MRes projects in professional football. Alex recently has also partnered with Cirque du Soleil as part of a physical profiling strategy for their performance artists.
