About
I am a self-motivated neuroscientist
with 5+ years' experience in
neurodegenerative disease research, 5+
years' experience in haemochromatosis
research and 2+ years' experience in
Chemoreception Sciences. My PhD sought
to investigate the effects of brain
Iron accumulation on neurodegenerative
sequelae relevant to Alzheimer’s and
Parkinson’s diseases. The Parkinson's
arm of my PhD research led to an
interest in sensory systems, which I
am focusing on now for my postdoc
research, which ultimately seeks to
understand how neural representation
of olfactory information is
transformed as it gets processed by
distinct populations of neurons in the
olfactory bulb. I am still into
neurodegeneration (Parkinson's and
Alzheimer's diseases) and
haemochromatosis research, with a role
as a PhD associate supervisor. I am
open to collaborating with folks who
are specializing in areas related to
my line of expertise.
