Dr. Philippa Chun is an experienced instructor in the field of English language and literature, with a particular focus on American literature, British literature, and composition. She received her PhD in English from Cornell University in 2023, where she worked as a graduate instructor for several years. Prior to this, she obtained a BA Hons in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford, and an MSc in U.S. Literature from the University of Edinburgh. Dr. Chun has extensive experience teaching English at the university level. She teaches English at Rowan University, where she taught undergraduate and graduate courses in British, American, and world literature. She is proud of her approachable teaching style and her ability to engage students in discussions of complex literary texts. In addition to her teaching experience, Dr. Chun has also presented her research at numerous conferences and published research on inclusive pedagogy. Her research interests include representations of race and gender in American literature, as well as the intersection of literature and popular culture. Overall, Dr. Chun is a dedicated and passionate educator who is committed to promoting critical thinking and a deeper understanding of literature in her students.
