About
I am an experienced academic and researcher with a strong background in International Relations and Politics. I have worked in several European countries and my work is multidisciplinary, too. After conducting fieldwork in EU countries and later in Kazakhstan, I better understood the dynamics of power in contemporary Eurasia and the resilience of modern states. Later I have investigated neoliberalism and its authoritarian degeneration, in both the West and other world regions, and published a book on this for Brill, Leiden, in 2025. I have also vast teaching experience and I gained a PGCHE in 2021 at Regent's. I have held positions as a Senior Lecturer in International Relations at Regent's University London, an Associate Lecturer at The Open University, a Sessional Lecturer at Birkbeck College, London and a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Birmingham, among others. I have always adopted a student-centred pedagogy approach. I am also a Designated Member of Chatham House and I have published, including in top-tier journals, on issues of neoliberalism, Central Asia, the EU, empires, and political theory.
