About
I am a psychologist with professional
knowledge of the behavioral, social,
and health sciences. Over the past
twenty years, I have worked
collaboratively with federal agencies,
nonprofits, grantees, contractors, and
community stakeholders to identify
modifiable risk and protective factors
for violence, and to develop and
evaluate interventions that integrate
behavioral strategies to prevent
violence and associated injury,
illness, and disease. I have
significant expertise in research
design, implementation, and
statistical analysis including
evaluation of programs for both
efficacy and effectiveness. Additional
unique skills include the integration
of neurological, psychiatric, and
behavioral data and theory into public
health programs; development and
administration of psychometric
assessments for the purposes of
evaluation at multiple levels of the
social ecology; and oral and written
communication of research findings via
presentations at national scientific
conferences and publication of
research findings in peer-reviewed
scientific journals. In addition, I
have significant experience as a
consultant to government and private
sector businesses. My training in
clinical therapy, experience as a
collegiate lecturer, and experience as
expert witness have honed my
communication skills, making me adept
at interacting and communicating
scientific and behavioral expertise to
a variety of individuals and groups
with varying levels of professional
knowledge.
