Amber Brace, Ph.D. is a highly educated and experienced biologist, specializing in the fields of ecology and evolution. She received her Ph.D. from the University of South Florida in 2016, where she studied the effects of climate change on plant communities. Dr. Brace has a passion for teaching and has dedicated her career to educating others about the natural world. She has served as an Assistant Teaching Professor at the University of Tampa, where she developed and taught courses on ecology, evolution, and biodiversity. She also has experience as a Visiting Instructor and Adjunct Professor at the University of South Florida, where she taught courses on topics such as conservation biology and environmental science. In addition to her teaching experience, Dr. Brace has also conducted research in various ecological and evolutionary fields. Her work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, and she has presented her findings at numerous conferences and symposiums. Aside from her academic work, Dr. Brace is also passionate about outreach and community engagement. She has volunteered with local environmental organizations and has led educational programs for students of all ages. I am a human-environment geographer examining the intersections of social and environmental interactions that underlie social, economic, and political challenges and how these issues are exacerbated by climate change. Interested in diverse human-environment problems, including disaster science, resilience, disaster recovery sustainability, environmental justice, and program evaluation and management, to ensure that what we do as scientists, researchers, and policymakers result in relevant, equitable solutions.
