She holds a Ph.D in Cricket injury prevention and rehabilitation, specialising in biomechanics and fast bowling. She obtained her MSc in Motion Analysis from the University of Dundee and her MSc in Physiotherapy from the University of the Witwatersrand. With over 16 years of experience in the field, Professor Olivier has held various positions in both academia and clinical practice. She holds a professorship position at Oxford Brookes University. In addition to her academic career, Professor Olivier has also worked as a clinical physiotherapist for the Department of Health. Her areas of expertise include musculoskeletal physiotherapy, an area that focus on muscle, joint, bone, and nerve injuries.
