About

Passionate researcher holding a doctorate in biotechnology with 10+ years of laboratory research experience and 3 years of software industrial experience. My research work is mainly focused on developing rapid, label-free, and non-destructive technologies for the separation,  detection, and identification of antimicrobial-resistant (AMR) bacteria and cancer cells (biomarker and enzyme metabolism-based detection) using technologies such as microfluidics, qPCR, isothermal amplification, spectral flow cytometry, multi-color spectral flow cytometry, microscopy, elastic light scattering technologies, machine learning among others. My long-term goal is to develop innovative point-of-care technologies and improve diagnostic platforms for detecting pathogenic bacteria and cancer cells for diagnosis of bacterial infection and leukemia.
