Engineering Leadership that fosters a collaborative and efficient culture, and with process development and implementation, project management, technical guidance and data analysis expertise.

About

I have worked in the engine parts supplier industry for 31 years.  My career began as a design and development engineer for engine block cylinder liners where I had the opportunity to dive deep into the system interaction and tribological requirements of the piston, piston ring and cylinder liner system.  During this time, I began developing measurement techniques and data analysis for bore distortion and surface finish interactions.  I was able to move into research engineering early in my career where component and engine test development, measurement technique development and highly technical research projects were performed under my lead and supervision.  This was the beginning of my leadership development and have refined the approach to foster a collaborative culture that accells in the face of challenges by leveraging the team approach.  My responsibilities grew within the engine test facility until I had management responsibilities for all engine testing in North America.  In my current position, I am responsible for MAHLE’s R&D Services North America operations which include component, engine, powertrain and electric motor testing, as well as the material, metallography, metrology, chemistry and corrosion laboratories.  Through this experience I have developed expertise in various tribological, dynamic systems, measurement technologies, data acquisition and controls and internal combustion engine technical details.  From the leadership and managerial responsibilities, I have developed expertise in budgetary and financial planning and tracking and well as cultural development with the people.
