Matt Hitchins is an accomplished data scientist with a passion for applied data science and analytics. He holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience from George Washington University, where he specialized in understanding human decision making processes. Prior to his doctoral studies, Matt earned a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. After completing his education, Matt has held various leadership positions in the field of data science and analytics. He is currently a Data Science Lead at Mercer, where he helps clients in various industries harness the power of data analytics to make informed business decisions. Previously Matt served as a Director of Quantitative Analytics and Data Science at Gartner where he led a team of quantitative analysts and data scientists conducting data-driven talent analytics research. Matt's expertise lies in using advanced techniques to extract insights from complex data sets and translating those insights into actionable strategies. He is also a skilled communicator, able to effectively present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
