About

Brooke Moreland, PhD is a research scientist and systems administrator with a work history in higher education and student affairs, media and research incubation, and programmatic operations. Being with family and friends is why she works to live. Reading, writing, traveling and learning about quantum physics and Antarctica are things that she enjoys. Project and relationship management, research development and strategic systems design are Brooke's areas of expertise. Interrogating inequities in complex systems and leadership capacity building as a transformational vehicle for institutional sustainability are her research interests. She has served regional, state and national organizations, leading corporate partnership acquisition and community-centered research development processes. She enjoys interacting with leaders and people in communities, utilizing the principles of adult learning and sociocultural learning theories to gain a better understanding of everyday phenomena and to promote representative storytelling in research. Brooke is a graduate of Butler University, Indiana University-Bloomington’s Higher Education & Student Affairs program, Indiana Wesleyan University’s Doctor of Leadership Studies program, and an alum of the Harvard University Advanced Leadership Education [CAEL] program. She serves as the Publications & Research Chair on the Board of Directors for the Peace & Justice Studies Association, a bi-national organization in the United States and Canada housed at Georgetown University. Brooke is also a part of the United States Antarctic Scientists Directory (https://usscar.org/directory).
