Dr. Jayaprada Chunduri has 19 years of experience in planning and executing scientific research projects. 1. Identified 29 new microbes (access via NCBI) and 2 insect moonlight proteins (access via Moonlight Protein Databases), 2 bio-projects (access via NCBI) 2. Published 41 original research papers and articles in recognized national and international journals of UGC, Publon, WOS, SCOPUS. 3. Received a Senior Research Fellowship from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) to pursue research in microalgal and biodiversity studies of marine harbors in association with aquatic pollution. Further to her research pursuits, Dr. Jayaprada is deeply engaged in academics. She has held several key positions over the years, notably: 1. Head of the Department (Biotechnology) and Chairperson of Board of Studies (Biotechnology) at SVKM's Mithibai College (University of Mumbai) 2. Member of Board of Studies at University of Mumbai and three autonomous colleges in the fields of Zoology, Biotechnology, Bio-analytical Sciences 3. Member of Selection Boards for faculty recruitment and faculty improvement programs   Some of her contributions comprise: 1. Development of curriculum for undergraduate and post graduate courses at the University of Mumbai 2. Supervise research competitions at the University of Mumbai 3. Guidance to 4 research scholars for the award of Ph.D. Doctoral Degree from the University of Mumbai; as well as several MSc and undergraduate students on research projects Her interests include Marine Biotechnology, Immunology, Environmental impact assessment, Phyto-chemical applications, Antimicrobial studies and Bioinformatics.
