Medline Industries LP
Associate Quality Engineer / April, 2025 — July, 2025
Quickly coordinated deviation rework activities in response to volatile tariff requirements ensuring supply continuity and quality. Supported design changes and CAPA completion efforts via careful documentation and review. Managed supplier quality reevaluations and customer quality information requests.
BISCO Inc.
Associate Research Scientist / March, 2021 — April, 2025
Served as technical lead and project leader on product development, technology development, and technical service projects following quality management system (ISO 13485) and design control procedures for medical devices. Created optimized and thoroughly documented formulations that include methacrylate-based polymer chemistry, photoinitiator systems, and inorganic materials resulting in successful regulatory submissions compliance audits and product realizations. Utilized material testing instrumentation and wet chemistry techniques to study the properties of new formulations. Responsible for writing technical documentation, training others in ISO standards and SOPs/QOPs, and ensuring traceability.
Dental Technologies Inc.
Quality Control Chemist / October, 2020 — March, 2021
Performed comprehensive analytical testing on drug products and cosmetics including use of wet chemistry techniques according to quality operating procedures to ensure products were within specifications and safe for use. Maintained meticulous documentation of testing data in accordance with quality system procedures.
Jonathan V. Sweedler Research Group
Undergraduate Research Assistant / January, 2017 — May, 2020
Collaborated with graduate students in combining MALDI-MS with immunocytochemistry to study lipid and metabolite differences between neurons and astrocytes within the cerebellum and hippocampus resulting in the detection of 520 lipid features within 30000 individual cells. Operated cell-finding and mass spectrometer software paired with microscopy to ensure data procured from rodent cerebellar cells were single-cell measurements. Optimized methods related to the research projects at hand including matrix application and microscopy imaging.
University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Department of Chemistry
Chemistry Teaching Assistant / August, 2019 — December, 2019
Instructed and supervised a discussion and laboratory section of 23 students in the introductory chemistry course including preparing laboratory materials demonstrations and organizing lecture/exam reviews. Guided students within all levels of the general chemistry course series through problems in topics including the principles governing atomic structure, bonding, stoichiometry, chemistry of materials, chemical energetics/equilibrium, chemical kinetics, and electrochemistry during weekly office hours by utilizing multiple approaches to understanding problems tailoring explanations to the unique needs of the student.
