About

Dr. Brendan Dwyer is an experienced educator, researcher and administrator. He obtained his doctoral degree in Sport & Exercise Science from the University of Northern Colorado in 2009 and holds Masters degrees in Sports Studies from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from St. Cloud State University. He has worked on projects and initiatives with renowned collegiate athletic programs and has expertise in Sport Management and collegiate intercollegiate athletics. At VCU, Dr. Dwyer currently serves as the Associate Director of Student-Athlete Development & Leadership Programs. Dr. Dwyer’s responsibilities include working closely with VCU student-athletes and leaders of the Academic Support and Student Services departments to ensure the academic, athletic, and personal success of VCU student-athletes. He is dedicated to helping student-athletes develop into successful citizens, leaders, and scholars.
