About

I love tech, but only if it's useful and provides a compelling experience. In fact, it's best when you don't notice it - you just enjoy it. I love being able to change the way things are made. I coined the name "hearables", then led the Bluetooth specification development that gave us advanced hearing aids, earbuds and Auracast. Over the years I've worked on lasers, semiconductor processing, medical products, smart energy and health, and helped companies put wireless in everything from sex toys to snow ploughs. I've helped found a number of start-ups with two successful exits to global tech companies. Most of all, I enjoy making things, pushing boundaries and helping others achieve their vision.
