I have managed both small and large staff and my greatest environmental expertise is in water.

Indiana Department of Environmental Management

I developed and implemented the Indiana Governor's environmental policies as the head of the state environmental agency. I lead the 900 person state agency, testified before the state legislature, served on a number of Boards and Commissions as a member of Governor Eric Holcomb's cabinet.

I formulated a $130 million budget, devised a new agency department, and was appointed by the Governor to serve the Commissioner.

I set policy direction for water including wetlands, water quality standards, Combined Sewers, permitting and compliance. I led efforts to eliminate extensive permit backlogs, improved wetland permitting coordination, and improved stakeholder relations, coordinated water office activities with the other offices in the agency.
