Dr. Poppy Kumar is an Assistant Professor of Data Science at the University of Michigan. She holds a MA in Data Science from Johns Hopkins University (2014) and a PhD in Data Science from University of Michigan (2018). Her research focuses on data mining, artificial intelligence and machine learning. Her expertise lies in collecting and analyzing large and complex datasets to identify patterns and develop insights to provide solutions. In her current role, she is teaching and mentoring students, collaborating on projects across disciplines, and conducting and publishing research.
