Dr. L. Michael Romero earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Biology from Stanford University in 1993 and 1992, respectively, and a B.A. in Biology with distinction from Swarthmore College in 1988. He conducted postdoctoral research in the Department of Zoology at the University of Washington. Dr. Romero is currently a Professor in the Department of Biology at Tufts University, and serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Infectious Disease and Global Health at the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. His main research focus is to understand how stress impacts wild animals and how their stress response allows them to survive in their natural habitats.
