Dr. Michelle Burton is a highly educated professional with a strong background in the field of apparel, merchandising, and the retail supply chain. She holds a PhD in Apparel, Merchandising, and Design from Iowa State University, as well as a Master of Science in Merchandising from the University of North Texas. With over 10 years of experience in academia, Dr. Burton has held positions as an Assistant Professor at both Montclair State University and Kent State University. Her expertise in merchandising and retail operations has also been utilized in the corporate world, where she worked as a Senior Planner for Merch Ops at WalMart. Dr. Burton has also been involved in online education, serving as an Adjunct Faculty and Course Developer at Southern New Hampshire University. She has also worked in the fashion industry as an Ecommerce Merchandise Planner at TOMS. Throughout her career, Dr. Burton has conducted extensive research in the fields of consumer behavior, retailing, and global apparel sourcing. She has published numerous articles in top academic journals and has presented her research at national and international conferences. In addition to her education and professional experience, Dr. Burton is known for her passion and dedication to teaching and mentoring students. She is committed to helping them develop a strong understanding of the fashion industry and preparing them for successful careers in the field.
