Dr. Christopher Kucha is a highly accomplished and respected scientist in the field of food engineering. He received his PhD in Bioresource Engineering at McGill University, Canada, in 2020. After his PhD, Dr. Kucha immediately continued as a postdoctoral researcher at McGill University until 2023, working on artificial intelligence/machine learning/chemometrics to find innovative solutions to food engineering problems. During his time at McGill University, Dr. Kucha gained valuable experience as a Graduate Research & Teaching Assistant, where he mentored and taught undergraduate and graduate students in various courses related to food engineering. Dr. Kucha joined the faculty at the University of Georgia as an Assistant Professor, where he continues to conduct cutting-edge research in the field of AI and food engineering. Dr. Kucha has published numerous research articles in prestigious scientific journals and has presented his work at national and international conferences. In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Kucha is also passionate about community outreach and has actively participated in various initiatives to promote sustainable agriculture and food security in developing countries. He is dedicated to using his expertise to make a positive impact on society and improve the lives of others.
