About

Dr. Suzanne Hartford is a highly accomplished scientist with a strong background in genetics and developmental biology. She received her Ph.D. from Cornell University in 2012, where she studied the underlying mechanisms of genetic diseases. Dr. Hartford's most recent role is at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals where she joined as a Staff Scientist and quickly rose through the ranks to become a Senior Principal Scientist. In this role, she has led numerous projects focused on understanding and developing treatments for genetic disorders, along with gaining experience in CRISPR, gene therapy, and non-viral delivery vehicles (LNP). Before joining Regeneron, Dr. Hartford was a CRTA Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Cancer Institute, where she conducted research on the role of genetic mutations in cancer development (BRCA2 variants of unknown significance). She also gained valuable experience as a Research Assistant at The Jackson Laboratory, where she worked on projects related to mouse genetics. Throughout her career, Dr. Hartford has published numerous research articles in top scientific journals and has presented her work at conferences. She is known for her expertise in genetic engineering techniques and her ability to effectively lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. In addition to her scientific achievements, Dr. Hartford is also passionate about mentorship and has served as a mentor to undergraduate and graduate students. She is dedicated to advancing the field of genetics and is committed to finding new treatments for genetic diseases.
