About

I have a PhD in U.S. History from Carnegie Mellon University. I specialize in labor, urban, and African American histories, with additional expertise and fluency in Irish, Middle Eastern, World, LGBTQ, Atlantic, and military history. I also have competency in U.S. and Irish Literature, higher education policy, an economics. I have a book manuscript under consideration and two other book projects in the works. I am also a passionate Pittsburgh sports supporter, a lover of *The Lord of the Rings* and *Star Wars*, and a huge fan of all things Fall.
