About

I am an Electrical Engineer and R&D applied scientist with 19 years of experience in the design, fabrication and testing of nano/microelectronic photonic and electronic devices in academia and in industry. I have CVD, PVD, photo and e-beam lithography, RIE, DRIE, PECVD fabrication experience in class 100/1000 cleanrooms with thirty-five peer-review publications and 3 US patents. I specialize in Si single-photon avalanche photo diodes (SPAD), III-V semi-based avalanche photodetectors diodes (APD), II-VI quantum dot based infrared focal-plane array design, tape-out and characterization for LiDAR and camera systems. I have worked with visible and IR pulse and continuous wave-lasers. I have experience in sensitive RF, noise and cryogenic equipment setup and test. In software side, I have strong programming, data-science, quantum & device simulation skills. In the past, both as an individual contributor and technical-manager, I have worked in grant writing and executing contract-based research for various US Federal Government agencies (DOE, DOD, DARPA, NASA). I have a strong interest the field of in quantum algorithms, quantum computing and quantum internet and am currently pursuing graduate degree. Overall, my research and work interests are theoretical and applied physics of quantum-electronics, photonics, nanotechnology-based optoelectronics, AI, machine learning and quantum computing.
