Ryan Brosch, Ph.D.

Physicist that deals with radiation transport, particle physics monte carlo, and nuclear phenomenology for proton radiotherapy.

About

Ryan Brosch, Ph.D. is a highly skilled physicist with a strong background in research and teaching. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from Arizona State University in 2022, where he conducted research in radiation transport theory as it relates to proton radiotherapy and medical physics. During his time at ASU, he also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, where he excelled in instructing and mentoring undergraduate students. In addition to his academic experience, Dr. Brosch works as an independent consultant through his company QuantaCalc by performing custom simulations of radiation beam targets using the latest monte carlo calculation engines. He completed a paid internship at the prestigious Mayo Clinic, where he contributed to the commissioning of the treatment planning system for their proton beam therapy system. He has also served as a research assistant at the BEYOND - Center for Fundamental Concepts in Science, where he collaborated with other scientists to investigate the origins of life on Earth. His extensive education and diverse experience make Dr. Brosch a well-rounded and accomplished physicist. He is dedicated to advancing the field of physics and using his knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on the world.
