**Detailed Professional Biography – Dr. Michael A. Drzewinski**   Dr. Michael A. Drzewinski has a long and varied work history. Mike began his executive career in 1994 as a Skill Base Leader at Honeywell. In 1996, he became the VP & Chief Technical Officer at ISP, where he was responsible for identifying and implementing longer-term technical initiatives for sustainable growth. In 2008, he was appointed President & CEO of TRI - Princeton, championing the Institute's 85-year non-profit mission of serving the personal care industry through science, education, research, and service. In 2015, he became Technical Director at Vertellus, and in 2021 was appointed Chief Science Officer at Nufabrx.   Today, Mike acts as a consultant focused on enhancing external innovation, enhancing university partnerships, creating successful start-ups, and accelerating new product development.   Dr. Drzewinski received his Sc.D. in Material Science & Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a M.Sc. in Polymer Science & Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and his B.Sc. in Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.   Over his 30+ year career, Dr. Drzewinski has authored more than 100 patents, papers, book chapters, and presentations in support of several successful new product launches and has developed innovative organizational mindsets, via change management, leading to unique partnerships and results across different industrial sectors. As time allows, he volunteers at various US Military Veteran events and has collaborated with the Wounded Warriors Foundation. Additionally, he is an avid sports fan, golfer, and fisher. Recent key accomplishments include novel antibacterial coatings, a unique bio-actives program and vastly improved drug delivery systems. His team received a 2007 Thomas Edison Achievement Award from the NJ Research Council for enhancing consumer science.   Recognized by being named on over 60 patents & publications; invited lecturer at numerous symposia/universities; member of eight professional societies and 3 honorary societies; biography listed in "Who’s Who in Science & Technology", "Who’s Who in America" and "Men of Achievement"; and the Boy Scouts of America (Eagle Scout).    **Key Career Achievements:**   Degrees from Rensselaer, UMass, and MIT. Was a Rensselaer Scholar, developed polysulfone membranes for desalination at UMass, developed a new catalyst to produce crystalline block copolymers at MIT (Co-advisors: Professor R. Cohen and Professor R. Schrock, Nobel Laureate). Summer work with Exxon Research – Motor Oil Additives. Runner-up for the American Chemical Society’s Award for Graduate Student Achievement. Minored in the Management of Innovative Technology (Sloan) while at MIT and worked on the development of the Lo-jack car anti-theft system.   Key member of the **Kimberly-Clark** team that developed the first melt processable elastic fiber which led to the form fitting, Huggies Pull-Up diaper and the creation of adult diapers (Depends).   Working for the multi-national Italian **ENI Group** developed several new thermoplastic engineering resin systems (automotive applications), thermoplastic elastomer systems (medical and consumer goods), and opto-electronic materials for telecommunication systems. Held several positions and traveled globally, including living in Italy.   **Allied Signal/Honeywell** – Oversaw all polymer development activities at three locations, primarily focused on engineering plastics for automotive systems (bumpers, seatbelts, airbags, etc.) carpet fibers, high strength fibers ballistic protection, etc. and fluorinated polymers for special packaging.   **International Specialty Products (Ashland)** – Significant new polymer development and customer interactions led to commercialization of several products or enhancements including, P&G White Strips, Colgate Total, Unilever Sure Anti-perspirants, l’Oreal Hair Sprays, J&J Extended Release Tylenol, GSK Nicoderm, Coppertone Sunscreen Sprays, Intel’s Pentium 3 Processor, BP’s NorthSea Gas Pipelines and Fresenius Dialysis Membranes.   **TRI-Princeton** \- Developed several new test methods for hair\, skin\, color cosmetics\, oral care\, and porous materials\. Worked with battery separator and battery electrode manufacturers to enhance knowledge of function and design\. Oversaw university collaborations/partnerships at Princeton\, Rutgers\, MIT\, Connecticut\, Pittsburgh\, Leeds University \(UK\)\, Imperial College \(UK\)\, and Moscow State University\. Invited Speaker at several universities\, societies\, and associations\. Consultant or Advisory Board Member to organizations like University of Connecticut Institute of Materials Science\, William Paterson University Science Program\, and Intel’s STEM program\.   **Vertellus – Aurorium** \- Directed global product growth programs and generated new technologies for antibacterial compounds\, anti\-thrombogenic coatings\, dialysis membranes\, and contact lenses   **Nufabrx** – Led all discovery and CMC activities for the start-up’s novel topical drug delivery products.
