Ekin Koluaçık is a highly skilled materials engineer with a passion for exploring new and innovative materials and their applications. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Middle East Technical University in 2020, where she gained a strong foundation in materials science principles and techniques. She then pursued a Master's degree in the same field, specializing in metallurgy and materials processing, which she will complete in 2024. Throughout her education, Ekin has gained hands-on experience through various internships and research positions. She worked as a Materials Systems Engineer at Nurol Makina, where she was responsible for selecting, developing and testing materials and processes for military vehicles. She also worked as a Research and Development Engineer at Akdaş Casting Industry and Trade Company and Döksan Isıl İşlem, where she conducted experiments and analyzed data to improve the quality and properties of castings and heat-treated materials. Ekin's passion for materials engineering has also led her to pursue opportunities outside of her studies. She completed an engineering internship at Turkish Aerospace Industries, where she gained experience in the aerospace industry and contributed to the development of new materials for aircraft parts. With her strong academic background and diverse practical experience, Ekin is well-equipped to take on challenging projects and contribute to the advancement of materials science and engineering. She is constantly seeking new knowledge and skills to further her expertise in the field and is excited to continue her journey as a materials engineer.
