I’m a coffee industry consultant, green buyer, roaster and lapsed Q-grader with years of experience working with startups and established companies in the Midwest, California and New York City as well as importers, exporters and coffee producers across Africa and Latin America. Coffees I’ve worked on or helped to create have won industry awards like the Cup of Excellence, Best of Rwanda, Taste of Africa and the Golden Bean; my work has been featured by major news outlets such as *Forbes*, *Bloomberg* and *Food & Wine*.

We took three struggling cafes and turned them into five profitable ones. We restructured and relaunched the brand in 2017 with a new look and refined company mission. And many spreadsheets. In 2020, we converted to an employee-owned cooperative—and survived the pandemic.

Cupper, buyer, roaster, coffeeman. I turned coffee brown. Planned, built and managed the roasting division for yCombinator-alum. Green coffee purchasing, product planning, forecasting, budgeting, as well as applied technical skills such as cupping, roast profile development, and training. And lots of spreadsheets.
