Dr. Claudius Guynn has dedicated his career to education, with a focus on both psychology and mathematics. He received his PhD in Psychology in 2019, with a specialization in sports and performance psychology. Prior to that, he earned a BSEd in Secondary Mathematics teaching from the University of Georgia in 1999 and an AS in Science from Tidewater Community College in 1996. Dr. Guynn has over 20 years of experience in teaching, with a diverse background in both mathematics and psychology. He has taught mathematics at various grade levels in different school districts, including Charles City County Schools, Williamsburg-James City County Schools, and Dekalb County Schools. In addition, he has also taught psychology as a dual-enrollment course at Charles City County Schools. Dr. Guynn's passion for education extends beyond the classroom. He has conducted research in the field of sports and performance psychology, and has presented his findings at conferences . He also serves as a mentor and advisor to students, helping them navigate their academic and personal goals. In his free time, Dr. Guynn enjoys staying active through sports and outdoor activities. He also volunteers at local schools and community organizations, furthering his commitment to education and giving back to his community.
