Dr. Monika Welle, DVM, PD, DECVP, is an established veterinary pathologist who graduated from Vet school in 1986. After her doctoral thesis she was in private practice for 2 years before she specialised in Veterinary Pathology, where she earned her DECVP and PD. She served until her retirement in 2022 as the Head of the Biopsy service and Group Leader of Applied Dermatology Research at the Institute of Veterinary Pathology at the Vetsuisse Faculty of the University of Bern, Switzerland, where she contributed extensive expertise to her field through specialized diagnostics, teaching and research. She is still active in postgraduate teaching and small research projects.
