MD/PhD student in Microbiology & Infectious Diseases. I am interested in the polymicrobial infections within cystic fibrosis (CF). Specifically, my PhD work was focused on detailed characterization of Streptococcus (genotypic and phenotypic), assessment of antibiotic resistance and molecular mechanisms of resistance acquisition, as well as the virulence associated with these organisms towards principal pathogens such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
