About

I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Radiology at the University of Missouri School of Medicine, affiliated with the Institute of Green Nanotechnology. Originally from South Africa, I earned degrees in Biotechnology and Nanoscience from the University of Johannesburg before receiving the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship to pursue my Ph.D. at the University of Missouri–Columbia, home to the University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR). Under the mentorship of Professor Kattesh V. Katti, I trained at the intersection of nanomedicine, radiochemistry, and cancer biology. I also earned an MBA in Life Sciences, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship from the Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business, enabling me to bridge advanced research with commercialization and global health strategy. Previously, as a FAPESP-supported Postdoctoral Fellow at IPEN in Brazil, I contributed to the development of bioactive silver nanoparticle filtration technology that led to a U.S. patent and commercialization (YOUFILTER Ag®). My work spans green nanotechnology, nanophytomedicine, and translational cancer therapeutics, with over 1,450 citations. I was selected as a participant in the 72nd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in Physiology and Medicine.
