About

Dr. Arigje Haaima is an expert in food science with extensive experience at both the university and research levels. She obtained her Master of Arts in Food Science from Harvard University in 2012, and her Ph.D in Food Science from Harvard University in 2019. Most recently, Dr. Haaima served as the Department Chair of Food Science at Cornell University. In this role, she managed curriculum initiatives, advised undergraduates and graduate students, and worked to expand existing research projects within the department. Dr. Haaima was also the principal investigator on a number of interdisciplinary research projects in food science. Throughout her career, Dr. Haaima has been recognized for her research, leadership, and community service. She has been a featured speaker at numerous international conferences, and has been published in Food Science and Technology, Food Control, and other scholarly journals. Dr. Haaima is passionate about food science and the potential for research to create new and innovative products. She is dedicated to engaging and inspiring the next generation of food science professionals, and to developing and sharing knowledge on the latest advances in the field.
