About

I am the Founder and CEO of OMGTea, the UK's leading premium matcha brand, with more than a decade of experience sourcing, developing, marketing and commercialising Japanese matcha products. My expertise spans matcha quality, sourcing, product innovation, consumer insights, brand positioning, route-to-market strategy and retail distribution. Having built a matcha business from the ground up, I have worked across every stage of the value chain, from supplier relationships and product development through to scaling operations and securing listings with major retailers. I have advised on and developed a wide range of matcha applications, including ready-to-drink beverages, concentrates, supplements, functional foods and gifting products. I bring a practical, commercially grounded perspective, helping businesses understand not only what is technically possible, but what is likely to succeed with consumers, retailers and within operational constraints. I am particularly passionate about helping organisations navigate opportunities within the fast-growing matcha, wellness and functional beverage categories.

As the driving force behind OMG Matcha Tea, I dedicated over 12 years to creating a premium matcha brand inspired by a personal mission. My focus on health and wellness led to strong sourcing relationships in Japan and successful partnerships with major retailers. I also championed educational initiatives to raise awareness of matcha's benefits, solidifying our brand's reputation in the market.

A charity founded by Katherine to help us all live healthier lives for longer. Today, we are living longer than ever before, but for many of us that extended life will be spent fighting diseases and living with pain and suffering. Ageing is the biggest risk factor for the major diseases facing society today, including cancer, heart disease, stroke and dementia. To help us to enjoy our longer lives, we need to tackle age-related diseases. The Healthy Life Foundation has been set up to fund research into age-related diseases.
