About

Kimi Wenzel (PhD candidate) is an AI ethics researcher, designer, and speaker. Her projects have been funded by Google, Amazon, Facebook, and the National Science Foundation. She has been published at top AI conferences (NeurIPS, CHI) and presented at large public venues (TEDx). Kimi currently works at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute -- the top research facility in her field. Prior to her PhD, she earned her MS in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University her BA in Computer Science from Columbia University, Barnard College. She uses both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, and is versed in the following topics: * Human factors in artificial intelligence * Ethics and societal impacts of technology * Diversity, equity, inclusion in technology * AI and mental health * Social media and mental health * User experience * Gamification
