• Served on the Doctorate in Literacy Admissions and Recruitment committees, interviewing and recruiting candidates for the program. • Counselled and advised on multiple dissertation committees as chair, and general committee member. • Advised and mentored students for their benchmark projects, served on the Institutional Review Board (IRB), as well as the Graduate Academic Policy committee. • Conducted research and wrote educational and research articles for publication to renowned journals such as English Journal, JoLLE, Language Arts, and College Teaching etc.

Senior Research Associate / August, 2014 — August, 2018

• Advanced 3rd-5th grade African American boys reading levels by 2-3 grades by implementing a Multi-Dimensional Reading Model (MDRM) to their instruction. • Developed, modified and administered the MDRM in multiple rounds as part of a pilot study before administering it as a longitudinal study.

• Coordinated Career & Internship Fair marketing and communication for Business Board Advisory members, Supply Chain companies, as well as students and faculty. • Spearheaded research symposiums and recruitment fairs. • Organised and collected membership dues from Board Advisory members. • Recruited cutting-edge Board Advisory members, and supply chain companies such as Target, Hub Group and Abbvie to be a part of our university initiative.
