About
Having worked as a leader of various
Sustainability projects in a manufacturing
environment for over 15 years, I would make a
valuable addition to your team. Throughout my
career, I have demonstrated strong leadership
and expertise in sustainability efforts
including in areas such as: environmental
stewardship, carbon management/climate change
and resiliency, resource efficiency (energy,
water, waste etc.), stakeholder relations and
people programs, relationships with suppliers
and communities, governance and compliance,
ESG data collection, processing and reporting
across recognized frameworks and standards.
I have extensive experience in both the
private and public sectors. My background
includes working with a variety of
organizations, including international
companies, small businesses, and non-profit
organizations. I have worked on a wide range
of projects, including developing
sustainability programs, implementing
sustainability initiatives, conducting
sustainability assessments, and leading
sustainability teams. I have also developed
and taught courses on sustainability topics at
the university level.
My experience at corporate levels allowed me
to expand upon my knowledge in this field. In
my current position, I engage internal and
external stakeholders to promote
sustainability initiatives, identifying areas
of the processes and practices that can be
improved to reduce its environmental impact. I
also lead the overall direction of the
company’s sustainability efforts, including
setting goals and measuring progress. As part
of my job, I ensure that the company’s
environmental and social impact aligns with
sustainable practices, developing and
executing sustainability strategies. In my
previous position and under my leadership,
Earth Friendly Products became carbon neutral
in part through the switch to 100 percent
renewable energy, which saves over 53 million
pounds of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
I have been successfully directed the company
to achieve LEED Building, LEED Zero Energy,
LEED Zero Waste and LEED Zero Carbon
Certifications. Zero Waste Platinum
certification at all our facilities means that
the company diverts over 95% of its waste from
landfills through recycling and reuse.
Furthermore, with the achievement of water
neutrality in 2016, the company not only
reduced water usage in all four facilities,
but the initiative has supported programs to
restore over 10 million gallons of water to
critically endangered rivers and wetlands in
the western U.S. this year. This successful
program has been translated to over $1,200,000
of savings for the company.
I’d love to bring this dedication, along with
my relevant skills and experience to your
global company. I am confident my extensive
experience and knowledge of Global
sustainability issues can help contribute to
your company’s success in this field.
I’ve attached my resume. Please do not
hesitate to reach out if you have any
questions. Thank you for your consideration,
and I am looking forward to hearing back from
you.
