About

I am a public policy professional with 8 years of experience at the intersection of technology, media, and economics. Before recently moving back to the United States, I was the Head of Tech Policy at iconomy, a Berlin-based consultancy where I helped advocate for smart regulation to grow the European tech ecosystem. I supported clients’ public policy, government relations, and public affairs efforts.   I regularly advised my executive clients through navigating European Union, German, U.S., UK and Australian data privacy, online safety, AI, international trade, and antitrust / competition policies. I also helped them develop privacy-by-design product updates, and build trusted relationships with policymakers, trade associations, and peer companies.   Previously, I worked as an part-time independent contractor to Transparency International, the leading global anti-corruption think-tank, during my Master’s in Public Policy degree. I helped their Communications and Advocacy team visualize different forms of corruption for diverse audiences, launch a new website, and grow their online engagement.   Prior to my Master’s in Public Policy degree, I was a contractor to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Washington, D.C. I played a key role helping senior officials communicate complex airspace technologies to secure Congressional funding, partnerships with state governments and public support. I researched, wrote and delivered multiple high-profile white papers, speeches, long form articles and even scripts for instructional YouTube videos.   I graduated from the Hertie School of Governance with a Master in Public Policy, where I studied quantitative policy analysis and digital governance. I graduated early from James Madison University in 2014 with a B.A. in Political Science and German. During my Bachelor’s, I studied abroad in a one-year immersion program at the Freie Universität Berlin.
