Lori Powell has over 20 years of experience in the field of social services and mental health. She received her Associate degree in Social Services from Clark State Community College in 1999. She then went on to work as a Mental Health Administrator at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, where she oversaw mental health services for inmates. She also worked as a Psychology Assistant 2 at the same department, providing individual and group therapy to inmates. In addition to her work in the corrections system, Lori has also worked as an adjunct instructor at Clark State Community College, teaching courses on psychology and lifespan developmentShe has also worked as an adjunct instructor at Sinclair Community college teaching psychology and criminal justice coursesShe is passionate about helping individuals improve their mental health and overcome challenges in their lives. Due to a stroke in February 2023, Lori is unable to return to her job in the prison due to physical limitations. However, she is eager to use her education and experience and continue to keep her mind active and sharp by working from home in some manner. Teaching and research are two of her major interests
