Dr. Lisa M. Dario is an accomplished criminologist with a passion for researching and teaching about the causes and consequences of crime, as well as the criminal justice system. She holds a Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Arizona State University, as well as a Master's degree in the same field from the same institution. She also earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The College of New Jersey. Dr. Dario's research focuses on police technology and community-oriented policing, as well as the impact of social inequalities on crime and justice. Her work has been published in numerous academic journals and has been presented at national and international conferences. In addition to her research, Dr. Dario is a dedicated educator. She has been an Associate Professor at Florida Atlantic University since 2016, where she teaches courses on the history of policing, police accountability, introduction to policing, and research methods. She is known for her ability to make complex concepts accessible to her students. Dr. Dario is also committed to serving her community. She has worked with various organizations to develop and implement evidence-based programs aimed at reducing crime and promoting social justice. She is a sought-after speaker and has been invited to present her research to law enforcement agencies, community groups, and academic conferences. In her spare time, Dr. Dario enjoys painting, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion, and strives to make a positive impact in both her personal and professional life.
