Eileen Young is a highly educated and experienced professional with a strong background in emergency management, disaster research, and data analysis. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Disaster Science and Emergency Management from the University of Delaware. Eileen has worked in various roles throughout her career, including as a Technical Analyst III at RAND and a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Assistant at the University of Delaware. In her free time she is active in her local community, with a specific interest in promoting biodiversity and climate resilience through native plant gardening.

Collaborated with the NYU Gallatin Initiative for Critical Disaster Studies on the Covid Collections, supporting technical aspects including survey data aggregation, documentation of accessibility concerns for website design, and preliminary data analysis.

Analyzed survey data, assisted in survey design and implementation, performed quantitative results analysis, and led analytics for qualitative results in support of an Initial Assessment Review. Drafted a vignette, managed data requests, and served as lead data analyst on COVID-19 response efforts and Community Vaccination Centers.

Attached to Interdependencies in Community Resilience project. Wrote management, worked with a remote and diverse group, and programmed. Managed undergraduate research assistants and programmed an agent-based modeling framework using NetLogo.
