About

COO and co-founder of the Tisserand Institute, and online education platform focused on evidence-based knowledge in the area of essential oils. The Tisserand Institute is serving a broad adult audience from around the world and has welcomed nearly 4000 students to date. I serve as course moderator and co-facilitator, as well as being responsible for creation and execution of the curriculum. I have several years of experience in teaching essential oil-focused classes and workshops, and ESL classes in the past. I spoke at international conferences for aromatherapy and cosmetic formulator audiences. One of my main responsibilities is research review, including finding and evaluating relevant research publications and translating the findings into articles or presentations for varied audiences. I was born in Prague, Czechia, and now lives in Southern California, and have a strong background in French and English translation and interpretation that’s proven essential for the Tisserand Institute’s global student base as well as for keeping in touch with the global developments in essential oil research and regulations.

Responsibilities include course and curriculum creation, course administration and coordination, moderation of live lessons, as well as business management from day to day operations to long-term planning and co-ordination of a team of nine people. Under her management, the Tisserand Institute has grown and has gained a reputation for being the global hub for evidence-based essential oil education.

Worked with a variety of topics and on different levels both in private bilateral meetings and at international conferences. Clients included the WHO office in Prague, the Office of the Government in Prague, the Czech Ministry of Health and the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. Later profiled in medical interpreting and translation.

Freelance ESL Tutor / January, 2007 — December, 2016

Taught adult students both in one-to-one and group settings and of varying levels of language conduct. Specialized in demotivated learners (false beginners). Gained experience in didactics adult pedagogy course and curriculum management.
