My work has centred on understanding how emitter characteristics, material properties, and system design interact to determine real-world heat delivery. This includes modelling and experimental validation of quartz tungsten halogen systems, development of heat flux mapping techniques, and building numerical models to predict system efficiency and performance.
In my current role, I work on complex thermal systems, applying the same principles of heat transfer, modelling, and optimisation to deliver practical engineering solutions. My focus is on translating theory into usable design insights — identifying where losses occur, what drives performance, and how to improve overall system efficiency.
I typically support projects involving:
* IR heating system design and optimisation * Radiative heat transfer and spectral analysis * Thermal modelling (2D/3D, ray tracing) * System-level performance evaluation and trade-off analysis
